Aku Aku Cocktail Menu & Branding

Illustrated cocktail menu and branding for AkuAku tiki bar in Grünerløkka in Oslo. The bar held Norways largest rum collections and Thor Heyerdahl's canoe, on loan from The Kon-Tiki Museum. The bar sadly closed down in 2024 after 17 years.

The illustrations lean heavily into the maximalism of tiki culture, while also integrating a lot of the elements that made Aku Aku, the blue Oslo tram going past, pufferfish lamps, carvings and other decor elements from the space.
